Kayaking in Europe

We are a couple of paddlers from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We are looking for imformation kayaking in Italy, FRance and Switzerland. We cannot bring our own boats. Could someone help us out by giving us information on great rivers to paddle and places to rent kayaks. We are experienced paddlers - grade 3 to 4 and some grade 5 paddling. Thank you very much for any help you can give us!

We're located in Embrun and we have 13 boats for rent. Snipers, magnum, cfs, Charger etc ... be sure to have a phone call if you want to book boats as we're very busy during summer season.

quel est l'intérêt de traduire les messages alors que les personnes intéressées sont de langue anglaise

hello well if you want infos about where to paddle in south europe you can mail me. But you should say when you plan to come. There's a kayak school in the ubaye valley that others guided trips around the south alps and good infos about where to paddle. If no there's the guide book from peter knowles uk, it's not allways very precise but gives you a good idea of where to go. look at www.riverspublishing.demon.co.uk/

if you want to paddle in switzerland, maybe you want to paddle the vorderrhein region. teh river itself is only grade III, but great landscape. the side-rivers are up to grade V/X. see www.kanuschule.ch , they have many raental boats in best and new conditon, mostly dagger and pyranha.

Can also contact river runners in Bourg St Maurice they know all tje places in France and Italy where to paddle and organize high end trips. They actually organize some paddling trips from France to Slovenia through Italy.
With these guys you will have information on rivers like : Isere / doron de bozel / Sesia / Dora Baltea / Nocce / Engadin valley / Ubaye and many more
