Je débute en slalom, mais je cherche toujours un bateau adapté à ma morphologie et à mon poids ( 1m90 pour 93kg) :evil:

Dans la gamme Caiman, le Mamba Cargo convient très bien.Un bateau test est disponible sur Besancon.

J'ai un copain (un des deux représentants roumains en kayak aux mondiaux d'Augsbourg de cet été) qui fait ton gabarit (à peu de choses près). Je lui ai repassé mon Wanaka, qui lui convient plutôt bien niveau volume, et moi j'attends mon Mamba Cargo. Je pense que le Mamba Cargo peut supporter vraiment très haut en gabarit, plus que le Wanaka.

Un retro pour un mec qui pèse 93 kgs ça n'est pas *du tout* adapté.

Il me semble qu'il existe une version "Big", mais ça reste un bateau dur.

Sorry for not writing in French, I hope you'll understand my english.

I had the same problems you have; I'm 90kg and 1,86m. Until last year I tried several boats: Big Boomerang from DoubleDutch, Bigger Black Mamba from Caiman.. The boats were ok when you're 80kg, but too small when you're 90+. You need a boat with more width, not only higher. When the boat is 'only' made higher, you're more 'in' the water. When the has more width, you're more 'on top' of the water, which makes it easier to paddle.

Last year I was in the lucky position to design a boat myself. To be hounest; DoubleDutch designed a boat for me, I just told what I wanted... The doubledutch Viking is the first boat that really fits my size. I can squirt upstreams, without sinking, I can paddle heavy stoppers, without going under the water like a submarine. The boat is very fast and easy to paddle. The last part of the tail is very thin, so it reacts fast on every move I make. Last year was my best year ever, mostly because of this new boat.

Yesterday I got back from training in Augsburg (GER) for testing the new Viking(2). I made some little changes on the hull. The boat now turns even easier and is very loose on the water. It paddles like a Optima, but for heavy people like us and not for those 70kg kids, paddling a optima...

One of our juniors has tested it (78kg) and like the turning aswel, for him the boat will be cut down.

ya le fuego qui me semble pas mal ya assez de volume à l'avant

je pense que beaucoup d'entre vous ne savent pas ce que c'est de peser + de 90kg et pagayer. aucun bateau est à la bonne taille. il faut faire une différence entre les mecs de 85kg (comme moi) qui font parti des plus gros kayakistes (et des gens normaux voir petits pour d'autres sports) et les mecs de 93 kg comme notre ami.
les bateaux sont tout le temps sous l'eau est on peut pas s'éclater et avoir les sensations d'un mec de 70 kg dans un retro (bateau trop dure pour un débutant).
les formes les plus faciles type clue ou black mamba ne sont pas dispo pour ces poids. je pense que 85 kg c'est le max. Moi je fait du C1 parceque c'est plus facile pour les gros car il y a des bateaus qui portent déjà mieux comme les super bateaux de manou.
il faut que tu écoute notre ami anglais et la tu t'éclatera ou alors fait du C1
mon meilleur pote fait ton poids et cours en n2 avec un tsunami (et moi de même)

Il y a aussi le daïkatana de Zigzag, parfaitement adapté a ton poids

trop petit, il fait 93kg le jeune homme!!!

Salut pour ce qui est du bateau pour les athlètes de gros gabarit il y a le becker du constructeur PRIJON qui est tres bien pour les grands gabarits . a Bientot:)

J'ai jamais essayé le Viking, mais il parait que c'est quand même un bateau qui réclame des bras proportionnels au poids du pagayeur : gros.
Sinon je ne pèse "que" 88 kgs mais j'ai quand même l'impression qu'il y a de la place dans le mamba cargo pour loger quelques kgs supplémentaires. Le "becker" c'est bien, mais c'est quand même une technologie assez ancienne au niveau forme, on fait mieux de nos jours je trouve...

, les nouvelles versions sont tres tres biens! Je n'y croyais pas non plus, pour moi le Becker était le plus poutre de tout les bateaux, jusqu'à ce que j'essaye celui de Thomas Schmidt...

Which Viking have you tested? I always cut down the last part of the tail. This is very important to the turning abilities of the Viking. Double Dutch had a 'original' Viking testboat; I tested it and really couldn't turn it. Now every Viking is cut down like my boat. Even 75kg paddlers are amazed by the fast turning.

The Viking II has a changed Hull. The tail need to be cut down aswell and is now turning even faster and easier...

Good luck with the search for a big Boat, it's not easy to find a good slalom boat when you're over 80kg. For me, but that's a personal choice, the Viking II is the perfect solution. This year I'll probably compete in Metz in September or October. Anyone who want to paddle my boat can come there...

Si tu veut pour t'a morfologie il te faurait un allios . C'est un bon bateau

Sinon à voir avec Zig-zag, ils ont fait un big optima pour julien "Decarzick", (excuse moi pour l'orthographe de ton nom julien...), mais feront-il la même chose pour toi avec tout le boulot qu'ils ont déjà.

Waw, it's really nice to hear I'm not the only one with a healthy weight:D. I know Julien DEKARCZYK since my junior time, back in 1995/96, but I thought we were the only ones.

Cameron McIntosh, from the South-African team has one... Well, he got one sponsered from Coran Adison, together with his free-style boat. He could not paddle with it. He compared the boat with his Prijon Becker and was very slow with it. Now it's hanging on a wall, as a modern art piece. Probable the most radical design in the last couple of years, but not really suitable for high level slalom races...

Il faut ^pas prendre un retro tu coulera avec. Et en plus se bateau tourne pas .
C'est un conseil que je te donne.

g un pote a moi qui est vrémen obèse(mais super sympa) et bien il cherche un wanka parce qe on en a un o club et c un bato super bien pour les gros gabarit ou alor comme tou le monde le di, achète le mamba cargo, j'en ai déja vu un a nancy sur un sélectif régional!!
