Hello guys.

I am trapped in Paris for one year, but managed to bring my kayak and van - comfortable for 5 people, gear and boats.

I need to paddle. Anybody wants to take an Anglophone out creeking.

My level is IV-V creeks including the Taureau (Quebec), Green River Gorge, Watauga, Big Sandy, Upper Yough, Upper Pacuare, Quijos River Chessehouse, etc. NOT Linville Gorge, Bear, Overflow, Papallacta level, though.

Happy to drive from Paris to wherever there is water. Can take time off from work.

Can read French, but I suck speaking.

cheers,

Alex

Alors ? y'a pas un parisien pour lui répondre ? Y'a pas des clubs qui font des sorties rivière chez vous ?

Alex, you should keep an eye on the forum suggested by Fredo and try to join the groups planning to go creeking. Anyway you're gonna have to head south to find good WW.

You can also try to contact parisian kayak clubs, but I don't know which club would be better for you...

Merci beaucoup! I will try to get out this year. We are planning a Canadian invasion of France next Spring with our Canadian paddling group. I am supposed to have scouted it all and have all the relevant info. And things are the same everywhere in the world; they just laugh at you and take photos when you are getting worked in a monster hole......

If you have time to head south. We can paddle together in the area around Durance. It's one of the best area to paddle in spring time, but it's good also in autumn if it rains. I'm living there and I'm allways happy to see paddlers.
